SharpTastic Skate Sharpener

 

You will never have dull skates again. SharpTastic can sharpen any pair of hockey skates (no matter how dull) in minutes, for pennies a sharpening. It can be used in your basement, hockey dressing room or even on the hockey bench.

As a parent of two boys playing hockey and also being an avid hockey player myself, I found that I seemed to be forever forgetting to get the boy's skates or my hockey skates sharpened. I would arrive at the rink, step onto the ice, and curse to myself that I forgot to do my skates again. The reason I didn't get them done was simple. It's a hassle to drive to the store, stand in line and pay between $4 to $5 to get my skates done. Arriving at the rink at the last minute and having the person there do my skates, is a gamble I no longer take.

	Our patent pending design has simplified the skate sharpening process. Using the power of your own 3/8 drill turns SharpTastic into a power sharpener.
	We built the unit to stand up to the sharpening demands of a typical hockey family. Rugged aluminum base, self lubricating brass bushings, steel shaft and high density plastic, provides the high precision guides for your skate blades.

EASY TO USE

1. Attach SharpTastic to a 10" piece of wood (either a 2x3 or 2x4) so that you can clamp SharpTastic in a vice, screw to your workbench (this is the preferred way to do it), or clamp anywhere with a C-clamp.
2. Rotate the head selecting the correct guide for your skates
3. Turn on your drill and lock the locking switch.
4. Slide the skate blade through the guide, maintaining a light downward pressure on the abrasive.
   Heel to toe and then toe to heel...3 to 5 passes each way.

5. Turn off your drill, 3 more passes to produce a micro-fine hand finish on the bottom of your skate blade.

	6. Using the side honing stone provided, stone off the side burr on each side of the skate blade.

	SharpTastic comes with Raptor, a side honing stone, the Stick (skate sharpness tester), a 10 pack of replacement sleeves and an instruction manual.
	Additional replacement sleeves (120 grit) are available in packages of 10.
